From 6th to 20th July 2015, the Montreal Art Centre will once again be hosting the Global Art League International Exhibition of Professional & Emerging Artists. The two-week-long exhibition will include 20 emerging artists from around the world, with work spanning the range of media and themes in visual art. The event will include a judging panel of four art professionals who will be awarding prizes to the top five in show. With over 200 members, The Global Art League has fast become a pioneering community of artists, which brings opportunities to emerging artists from countries all over the world to show their art to global communities of dealers, collectors and enthusiasts. Via the online platform, over 500 works of unique art are available for sale, each one signed and verified as an original work. This exhibition will give the best talent from among the Global Art League members the opportunity to display their work to an audience of art lovers in a physical exhibition. The exhibition will be held in the "Le Canal" and "William Street" Galleries of the Montreal Art Centre, located in the Centre’s 19th century home in Griffintown. The Montreal Art Centre building, was originally the Caledonian Ironworks Building, which manufactured the rolling stock for the railways and ironworks for the Lachine Canal. The centre will be a hub of activity during the event, with talks, presentations and workshops taking place throughout the month to coincide with the international exhibition. Allan Diamond, founder of the Montreal Art Centre said “We are thrilled to once again be hosting the Global Art League International Exhibition of Professional & Emerging Artists. The Art Centre is the natural home for such an event, as we have always been huge supporters of emerging artists in Montreal, by offering a place to work and to exhibit. It’s an honour to be able to extend that to artists from all over the world, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming them here.” Submissions are now open to Global Art League members, and membership costs from only $30 per year - which includes free entry to be juried for the exhibition. Entry to the exhibition, which runs from 6th to 20th July is free. All details can be found at www.globalartleague.com
