Gladys Gonzalez is a Venezuelan-Canadian architect and artist.

She has been self-taught at an early age and has experimented on different techniques. She lives in Canada and dedicate full time to develop her style, being co-founder of ArtsCan; a new Art multicultural organization to cooperate with native and emergent artists from different countries. She has been selected alongside others artists of different countries to exhibit in special events and galleries in Canada and USA. She has also been awarded with publications where she has participated with her particular style, which is vibrant, colourful and uses a number of forms simultaneously to define a particular scene or daily event. Her themes are generally simple and joyful, because she considers art to be a way to extract the best from our lived moments, making us laugh and enjoy the piece and the world with optimism. She has painted using various different techniques, though her favourite is acrylic on canvas. Miró and Picasso are her inspirations, and her style combines influences from Cubism, Surrealism and Pop-Art, creating what she calls “New-Pop.”
As an artist, she aims to interact with each place and person she comes into contact with, growing as an individual and improving as an artist all the time, and sharing the benefits of that growth with her audience through her work.
