Kristi Beisecker

Kristi mixes science, the laws of art and spirituality into her artworks. Most of her pieces have a scientific process/background to them. Her personal work, the photography on this site is a product of this combination. While researching light/color, sound and form she came across a form of contact print photography called Kirlian Photography. It is traditional photographic paper with objects exposed using electricity. The concept is that it captures the life force energy of organic materials; the auras you see in her photographs can only be made with these materials and are different every time you expose the objects which adds to the mysteriousness of this photographic process.
Sir William Crookes once wrote, “We have actually touched the Borderland where Matter and Force seem to merge into one another, the shadowy realm between the known and the unknown. I venture to think that the greatest scientific problems of the future will find their solutions in this Borderland, and even beyond; here, it seems to me, lie ultimate realities, subtle, far reaching, wonderful.” An alternative scientist has the ability to experience the subtle energy that is radiated into the animate world by basic archetypal shapes, forms as well as color, light and vibration.
