Picture
Based out of Melbourne, Australia, Kyra Hannah began painting and drawing at the age of two.

Largely self-taught, she has progressed through myriad periods in her work: from abstract oil-pastels; to semi-realistic watercolours, inks, acrylics and oil paints; to her exploration of the Pacific Indian art style.

Because of her love of biology and zoology, her works predominantly feature animal or human-come-animal figures, portrayed using markers and fine pens.

Her current work has taken on a surreal or symbolic style, that often incorporates subliminal messages as inspired by the material learnt at university.

Her artwork is featured in several private collections in Australia, North America, India and the United Arab Emirates.

This June has seen Kyra complete her Undergraduate Arts Degree from Monash University, with a Major in Philosophy and two Minors in Bioethics and Creative Writing.

Author of the young adult dystopian science fiction novel, ‘Genetic Cliché’, Kyra has largely been focused on her writing and has only recently begun to draw again.

Currently, she is working on illustrations for her upcoming novella titled ‘Dream Walker’.
