TERMS & CONDITIONS
Artists submitting work for consideration for entry to the International Exhibition of Emerging Artists agree to our full terms and conditions as outlined below.
1.The Global Art League is an international Artist membership organization operated by the Montreal Art Centre.
2.The Global Art League will hold the International Exhibition of Emerging Artists in October of 2019.
3.All paid for submissions are guaranteed to be exhibited in the virtual gallery and will be considered for the exhibition.
4.A total of 20 works will be accepted into the International Exhibition of Emerging Artists.
5.All payments are final and no refund shall be made for works sent in error.
6.All work submitted must be available, upon request, for the duration of the agreed exhibition.
7.By submitting work, upon selection to the live exhibition, the artist agrees to send work(s) at their expense, when called upon. The works(s) must be sent by the time and date stipulated when contacted.
8.The artist shall be responsible for all transportation costs of the work(s) selected for exhibition, both to and from the exhibition venue.
9.Following the end of the exhibition, the Montreal Art Centre will accommodate any unsold work(s) for a maximum of four (4) weeks, following which the work will be donated to a charity auction.
10.There are no fees or costs for the mounting of the exhibition, all preparation and planning for the show will be handled by the Montreal Art Centre. All pieces must be sent ready to hang including wires where necessary.
11.If work does not arrive by the date specified, it may be excluded from the exhibition.
13.The artist shall be responsible for insuring the work at all times
14.All work submitted must be the original work of the submitting artist. Multiple originals, such as limited edition prints, etchings and sculptures will only be accepted if edition numbers and edition quantities are submitted to be displayed with the piece. Pieces must be supplied with all certificates of authenticity These types of submissions will only be accepted from the original signed artist. Reproductions of original artwork, such as giclee prints of original paintings, will not be accepted.
15.Copyright of all work shall be retained by the submitting artist. However, by submitting work, whether selected for exhibition or not, the artist agrees that the Global Art League and the Montreal Art Centre will have full rights to use the images or descriptions of any work for the purposes of publicity and promotion in either printed or electronic form for both the exhibition submitted for and any future events.
16.Any piece sold requiring delivery or shipping shall be transported on behalf of the purchaser at the expense of the purchaser The Global Art League and the Montreal Art Centre will display on the website the costs of shipping paid by the purchaser for internet e-catalogue orders.
17.The Global Art League and the Montreal Art Centre will charge the artist no commission on works sold during the exhibition.
18.Payment for all sold works shall be made no sooner than one month after the sale of goods and no later than two months after the sale.
19.For any work(s) sold that are on display in the gallery, or shown on the virtual gallery and website, there is no commission to the Global Art League Montreal Art Centre. No claim or demand for any sales commission will be made in the event that the Global Art League /Montreal Art Centre are approached for artwork having been on display, after the live exhibition, for works shown in the live exhibition after the conclusion of the live exhibition. The Global Art League Montreal Art Centre will redirect any inquiries after the live exhibition to the original artist.
20.Prize winners will be notified by email and be promoted and published, as outlined on the description on our website The artist that is awarded “Best In Show” will be invited to submit up to 20 works for a 2 week solo exhibition at the Montreal Art Centre. All cost of shipping works for this show will be borne by the Artist. There will be no further fees with regards to this exhibition. The date of the “Best in Show” artist Exhibition would be determined by mutual agreement
21.Two dimensional pieces must be framed upon acceptance, except for work on gallery canvas.
22.All work that is meant to be mounted on a wall, including both three dimensional and two dimensional works must be ready for mounting (with a hook or wire appropriate for hanging.)
23.All artists will be required to send their artist statement and an optional head shot photo by email on a jpeg file.
