Yucun

Yucun is a Chinese artist specializing in classic landscape painting, exploring the relationship
between man and nature. Yucun started learning calligraphy and painting at a young age. He was first guided by Pu Quan, an accomplished artist from the last Chinese royal family; then followed other wellknown art masters of various styles. In addition to fine art, he also studied Chinese and western aesthetics, history and literature. This blend of training and studies in his formative years broadened his perspectives and helped develop his own unique style in his mature works.
Yucun’s paintings are characterized by broad expressive strokes with vibrant colors, reflecting the dynamic nature of life. Using traditional Chinese color pigments, he gives life to not only plants and flowers but also to mountains, rivers and clouds. The exploration of the harmony between man and nature has become a recurring theme in many of his works.
